Although new symbols can be an annoyance especially when product packaging is now outdated, they help distinguish products and give everyone a visual warning of what is contained in the packaging. Hopefully in the future their can really be a “Universal” Symbol that applies to all med and rec state.
In the meantime, below are the most common used symbols or may be required in the future. Keep in mind, we will post when there is a transition, in the meantime, please feel free to download symbols to help in your label designs. Please make sure to go to your states website for minimum size requirements of symbols. California Cannabis Universal Symbol
Make sure to keep the smallest dimension a minimum of .5”. Make sure to the have the state warning accompanying this symbol as well.
California Proposition 65 (Prop 65) Cannabis Warning Symbol
Ever walk around the state of California and notice that everything around it causes cancer in some way? Yep, cannabis products will probably have to be labeled the same way so here’s the basic symbol with some accompanying text.
Colorado Cannabis Universal Symbol
